Amsterdam Sightseeing Bike TourAmsterdam Sightseeing Tour
Canal belt, Leidseplein, Museumplein, Rembrandtplein, Dam Square and Nieuwmarkt.
The old city center of Amsterdam is ideal for a nice bike tour. Known the world round as a cycling mecca the city has hundreds of kilometers of cycle paths and quiet canals, so the bicycle is a perfect device to see the many beautiful places that Amsterdam has to offer. We start the tour at our office on the IJdok, located close to Central Station. From the old quay you have a beautiful view on the banks of the IJ. After a brief instruction and time to practice for those that are a bit rusty in their bike riding skills, we ride to the beginning of the Canal Belt, a Unesco world heritage site. Riding through the Jordaan area along the many canals we pass the Anne Frank House and Westerkerk as we make our way to the lively Leidseplein. We continue the tour in style via the exclusive shopping street PC Hooftstraat to make a short stop again on the Museumplein (Rijksmuseum & van Goghmuseum). After this stop we return to the canals with its magnificent houses. We make a short stop at the Rembrandtplein and after a salute to the statue of the old master we continue towards arguably the most famous square of Amsterdam, Dam Square. After Dam square, we make a final stop at the Nieuwmarktplein. From here we make our way back to the starting point by passing the Central Station. If you want to see more of Amsterdam in a relatively short amount of time then this tour is perfect for you.
